When I speak about intuition as a woman, it often meets skepticism and is dismissed as naivety. Yet, the value of intuition, elusive to empirical measurement, should not be underestimated. Intuition is a crucial success factor, difficult to grasp as a rational aspect, which can sometimes render it unbelievable or naive. However, consider Justitia, the icon of legal discipline, is a female deity for profound reasons that go beyond appearances.
The embodiment of justice as a female figure dates back to ancient Egypt, addressing the established order under a higher scheme—a concept akin to intuition in its pathos. Justitia represents experience, reflection, creative power, and core maternal values like wisdom and love. She punishes without excluding or annihilating and plays a nurturing role that keeps the community together.
It's no coincidence that Justitia is a woman. Women often have easier access to intuition, which doesn't mean men lack it. We can learn from each other and should aim for progress in the legal field that adheres to these core values. Justice includes feminine values that cannot be monetarily quantified but contribute immensely to the survival of society.
I stand for a future where the legal industry revisits its fundamental values—a future where justice is seen not just as a set of rules but as a living principle deeply rooted in the feminine values of care and intuition. These values are invaluable, holding our society together and driving it forward.
Have you ever wondered why Justitia is a woman? What are your thoughts on this?
Warm regards, your Soulful Lawyer, Caroline.
